PRODUCT DESCRIPTION /Â FEATURES
Smart ACNFs is a microporous adsorbent in adsorbed natural gas (ANG) technology especially in methane (CH4) adsorption. Superior CH4 adsorption performance which is up to 7 times higher than commercial activated carbon (AC) with the incorporation of MgO. This adsorbent can be installed in storage tank of natural gas vehicles (NGVs) for better storage and transportation.
NEEDS
World demands' on cleaner energy sources such as NC that produces less carbon emissions than fossil fuels.
Cost-effective and safer storage tank for NC is needed due to its high volumetric density as conventional methods require customized tanks to be able to store NC at highly compressed (CNC) or in liquefied state (LNG)
The increment in market needs on adsorbent with larger surface area and high adsorption capabilities
APPROACH
Unique simple electrospinning approaches and physical activation resulting ACNFs with larger SSA and higher adsorption, making it comparable with chemical activation.
