(Circular Hollow Elastomeric Rubber Base Isolator)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION / FEATURES

The base isolator can take larger vertical loads compared to the commercially available base isolator with no hole, because the product con now is used for taller buildings up to 10 storey, which is not possible before. The product still maintains its required horizontal stiffness, flexibility, and stability to act as an isolator to the structure from the ground movement due to earthquakes. The amount of rubber and steel materials used has been reduced significantly thus reduce the cost or production.

Greenmark (Developed country required a better system for damping, for the reduction in construction time)

Damping system for structure with earthquake excitation

Encouraged internal wall partition especially in the medium-rise building (4 to 10 Storey building).

Government requirement with a greenhouse that sustainability recycle material for the construction industry.

Consultants design in ventilation ducting system and framing system to reduce the cost of design as construction costs reduced.

Construction works getting advanced with reduced construction timeline, and ease of method of construction.

APPROACH

Uses prefabricated panels according to the uniqueness of the building designed

Uses digital design tools and robotic construction to ensure a perfect fit for physical implementation and fast construction quality finish

Uses designs with minimal columns and maximum floor space with no awkward corners.

The isolator is simple in design.

Inexpensive to manufacture.

Easy to install and effective in isolating the superstructure from the earthquake ground motions compared to other types of isolators.

COMPETITORS

Public; Prejudices from existing industry, difficult to shift out of conforming zone with material that the public has been comfortable with.

Contractor; Adaptation from standard practice to the new system, training of work method and approach by the suitable practitioner (specialist)

Manufacturer; Precaster, Acoustic wall supplier, (bricks and partition board)

Architecture; consultants' practices with existing building material, lack of Safety Data Sheet for consultants' references.

Educator; unfamiliarity of the system (earthquake)
